Biography

Toronto

Katy Morgan completed a Bachelor's degree in psychology at York University and a 4-year internship and 2-year residency programme in psychotherapy, group facilitation, and supervision at the Toronto Institute of Human Relations (TIHR).  She is a full clinical member of several professional associations and institutes that all require a Master's degree for membership.  Her training at TIHR is deemed to be the equivalent of a Master's degree by all of these organizations.  They are the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists (OSP), the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP) in Canada as well as advanced clinician status with Imago Canada International (ICI) also in Canada and Imago Relationships International (IRI) in the USA.  She is also a certified hypnotherapist with the National Guild of Hypnosis.
 
Katy works from her home office in the country, approximately 45 miles northeast of Toronto.  A number of her clients commute to her office from Toronto.  Her fees are sometimes covered by various insurance companies with whom her clients have their employee assistance plans (EAPS).
 
Katy also holds various certificates for working with people suffering from anxiety, fears, phobias, depression, psychological trauma, incest and sexual abuse, grief and bereavement.  Although she works with individuals, couples and families, her real love is working with clients using the Imago techniques which she found to be very useful in understanding her own relationships.
